William Utter

William "Bill" Utter of Niles, Michigan died Sunday morning, while residing at Silverbrook Manor, after an illness. He graduated from Niles High School, and was a lifelong resident of Niles.

Bill went to work at Simplicity Pattern of Niles in 1953 and worked there his entire life before retirement. He only took time out of employment there to serve in the U.S. Army from October 1958 until being Honorably discharged in Sept. 1960.

Bill was also a huge racing fan and spent many years at the South Bend Motor Speedway. He was also an avid mall walker sometimes walking up to 5 days a week. He will be missed by the many friends he made while doing his walking.

He was preceded in death by his mother Norma and his father Jack, along with his sister Jackie, and brother Charles.
