Vivian Mozell Inman, age 87 years of Niles, Michigan died on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Cass County Medical Care Facility in Cassopolis. She was born February 28, 1928 in Bradford, Arkansas to Lee and Erna (Rice) Black.
Vivian was a loving wife and mother and a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed sewing clothing; especially making housecoats for her family, cooking and baking and holiday meals with family. After retirement, she and her husband traveled around the United States in their motorhome, never spending a cold winter in Michigan.
On April 15, 1945 in Bradford, Arkansas, Vivian married Haskel Inman, with whom she celebrated over 70 years of marriage. He survives with their children, Michael (& April) Inman and Pamela (& Edward) Wurz, all of Niles; grandchildren, Christopher (& Pepper) Inman of Niles, Jenny (& Daniel) Aykroyd of Elgin, Illinois, Timothy Wurz and Anna Wurz, both of Niles and great-grandchildren Mikayla, Searra, Gabriella, Hunter, Tanner, Lucas, Alex, Benjamin and Brendan. Also surviving are Vivian’s siblings, Erna V. McCarver of Tupelo, Mississippi and Herman (& Pat) Black of Dowagiac.
She was preceded in death by her brothers and sister.
The funeral service for Vivian Mozell Inman will be at 1:00p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with the Rev. Fran Lane-Lawrence of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow at Mission Hills, Niles.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00a.m. until time of services on Monday at the funeral home. Donations in memory of Vivian may be made to the Niles Senior Center.
