Virjilio Ramon “Ve” Echevarria, age 30 years of Cassopolis, Michigan died on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at University Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan following a lifelong struggle with congenital heart disease. He was born March 30, 1983 in Berrien Springs, Michigan to Virjilio & Karen Helene (Marrs) Echevarria.
Ve attended Niles Schools, was employed by Diamond Lake Marina and often went fishing and boating on the lake. He also enjoyed ice fishing and hunting. He was known as a genuinely nice guy and would not hesitate to help someone in need.
Ve is survived by his parents, Virjilio & Karen Echevarria of Niles, grandmother Isabel Echevarria of South Bend, a sister, Jennifer Pickens of Cassopolis, a brother, Jason (& Angel) Echevarria of Buchanan . Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Jazmine & Cardan Pickens, Preston Prentice, Joey Romanski, Seairra Romanski, Jazmin Romanski, Amelio Echevarria, Neviah Lintz and Izabel Hoskin, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Halbritter Funeral Home. The family will gather privately for services.
