Lansing – Tony Martin Grimes, Jr. 41, died Friday, December 30, 2016 in Sparrow Hospital.

Tony was born on April 2, 1975 in Niles, MI. Tony is survived by his mother, Sheryl L. Russell of Lansing; father, Tony Martin Grimes, Sr., of Greenville, SC; wife, Cathy Giannotti-Grimes, children, Sabrina (Grimes) Miller of Buchannan, Ryan Grimes, of Niles, Tiara Grimes of Niles; sister, Valen Robbins of Lansing; grandchildren, Amber Miller of Buchannan, Jacob Miller of Buchanan, Savannah Coles of Niles; grandparents, Earl. L. Russell Sr. of Niles, Aunts, Teresa Russell of Niles, Marsha Grimes of Buchanan; uncles, Randy Russell of Niles, Rickie Russell of Niles, Earl Russell Jr., of Dowagiac, Larry Brook of Niles, Neal Grimes of Georgia; nieces, Elena, Brionna, and Destiny Blankenship and nephews, Andrew Blankenship & Isaiah Robbins all of Lansing; lots of cousins of Niles, Buchanan and Florida. Tony was preceded in death by grandmothers, Rozella Russell, Margie Grimes, Grandfather, Pete Grimes as well as nephew, Alex Wentz

Tony was a forklift driver at Dakkota Industries. Former Manager of Wendy’s for 8 years. Tony was a backyard mechanic who loved to work on cars with his dad and Uncle Randy. Also was the first to help out any person that needed help with car problems. He loved animals especially his Pit bulls.

Funeral Services will be at 2pm on Thursday, January 5, 2017 in Sumnerville Baptist Church. HALBRITTER-WICKENS FUNERAL HOME 615 E. Main St. Niles, MI is assisting the family.
