Timothy Keith Villalba, age 46 years of South Bend, Indiana died Saturday morning, November 7, 2015 at his home. His death was unexpected, and is under investigation.
He was born on December 31, 1968 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Edward and Gayle E. (Kasen) Villalba. He attended Fulkerson Baptist Christian School in Niles, Michigan, and was graduated from Community Baptist Christian School in South Bend. He earned his Associates Degree and credentials as a Registered Nurse from Ivy Tech in South Bend. He was currently employed at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
Tim was a member of River Park Grace Church in South Bend. He was a gifted musician, helping to lead worship at River Park Grace, composing special pieces, singing, and playing the keyboard and the bass guitar. He always looked for opportunities to care for people as a nurse, worship leader, or new friend and especially as a dad.
He is survived by his son, Caleb Edward Villalba of South Bend; his parents, Rev. Edward and Gayle Villalba of Granger, Indiana; a sister, Jody (& John) Hackbarth of Traverse City, Michigan and their children, Heather (& Aaron) Mayes, Hayley (& Adam) Dollar, and Hudson Hackbarth.
The service for Tim Villalba will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Fulkerson Park Baptist Church in Niles with the Rev. Brian Hedges of the church officiating assisted by the Rev. Del Fehsenfeld of Life Action Ministries. The committal service will be private at Smith Chapel Cemetery in Niles.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Fulkerson Park Baptist Church. Contributions in memory of Tim may be made to a scholarship fund for Tims son, Caleb. Arrangements were made at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles.
