Thelma L. Heimel, 89 of Cassopolis, passed away at home after an extended illness.

Thelma was born on March 6, 1929 in Three Oaks, MI to the late Elmon and Helen Mangold.

Thelma found love twice during her life. She was first married to Franklin Worcester who passed away and then she married Richard Heimel.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers; Elmon, Jr., Don, Norman, Melvin, Jack, Dale and Larry.

Thelma is survived by her daughter Susan L. Worcester of Cassopolis, granddaughter Ashley L. Worcester, great granddaughters, Scarlett Emerling, Abbigail Bienz and Brooklynn Cronin.

Thelma enjoyed gardening, puzzles and playing the lottery. However, all who knew her, knew that her family was most important. She loved being able to watch Ashley grow up and cherished her great granddaughters. A caring person who understood that family was priceless and most important.

In keeping with Thelma’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A celebration of life will take place at 61032 Howell Dr. Cassopolis from 3pm-6pm on September 22, 2018.
