Shirley Elaine Kloko, age 89 of Niles, Michigan died on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles following a brief illness. She was born September 26, 1924 in Niles to Charles & Elsie (Beringer) Dreibelbis.
Shirley graduated from Niles High School in 1942 and attended Hope Community Church in Niles.
On September 6, 1947 she married Dale Richard Kloko, he preceded her in death on July 3, 2000. She was also preceded in death by daughter Karen Waldron, who died in 1993, a son, David Kloko, who died in December of 2011, and grandson, Erik Bartel, who also died in 2011 and a brother, Charles Dreibelbis.
Shirley is survived by daughter Cheryl (& Terry) Bartel of Fredonia, Wisconsin and son Dik (& Lucy) Kloko of Kalamazoo, Michigan, grandson Michal Kloko and granddaughter Marisa (& Aaron) Childers and great-granddaughter Isabelle.
Funeral services for Shirley Elaine Kloko will be held at 3:00p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with Pastor Jeffery L. Whittaker of the Michiana Christian Embassy officiating. Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery at a later date.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8:00p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the funeral home.
