Sandy Ellsworth Sherrick, age 70 years of Niles, Michigan, mother, grandmother, sister, and stylist died peacefully at 12:55 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at her home following an extended illness. Her family is grateful for the kind and compassionate care of the hospice staff.
She was born on October 29, 1950 in Coldwater, Michigan to Stanley and Shirley (Major) Parker, and attended Coldwater schools. She was a hairstylist, and owned and operated the Singing Scissors salon in Quincy, Michigan. She has lived in Niles for forty years. Sandy enjoyed travelling, and had visited Mexico and the Caribbean Islands
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Ed Sherrick who died on April 8 of this year; and by an infant son.
Surviving family includes her sons, Kelly (& Becky) Sherrick, and Joshua (& Robyn) Sherrick, both of Niles; grandchildren Jacob Sherrick, Joseph Sherrick, Jillian Sherrick, Kyle Sherrick, and Iris Lehman; Sandy’s sisters, Judy (& Reg) Sipes of Beech Grove, Indiana and Tonya (& Lee) Angers of Ogden, Utah, and brother Kim (& Brenda) Parker of Coldwater; and several nieces and nephews.

As a young lady, Sandy clearly enjoyed meeting and serving the public in a manner that made her a successful business owner, but later in life she enjoyed the peace and quiet of her longtime home in South Niles.
