Rose Pearl Eldridge, age 87 years of Galesburg, Michigan and formerly of Niles, Michigan died at 2:55 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo following an extended illness.
She was born on August 18, 1927 in Coldwater, Michigan to Kenneth Patch and Pearl Adelia (Bidwell) Youngs. She attended school in Coldwater, and has lived in several communities including Niles for fifteen years, eventually settling in Galesburg in 1980.
Rose had trained as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Chicago, Illinois and had served in that vocation. She has also been employed in production at the Pure-Pak plant.
She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States to visit family and friends who looked forward to her visits, and remember her as a beautiful person.
She had been previously married to Royal Brewster and later to James Eldridge, both of whom have preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Carl, and Arnold.
Surviving family includes her son, Kenneth J. Brewster of Galesburg, Michigan and a circle of friends.
The family will gather privately at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles to honor and remember Rose.
