Ronald Lott

Ronald Leroy Lott, age 48 years, formerly of Niles, Michigan died peacefully at 3:40 a.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at his home in Berrien Springs, Michigan following an extended illness.

He was born on December 26, 1968 in South Bend, Indiana to Arthur L. and Judy Rae (Grounds) Lott.  He attended Niles Community Schools, and was employed for several years at Gateway Industries in Berrien Springs.  He has lived in this area all of his life.

Ron was raised in the Church of God – Full Gospel in Niles under the leadership of his uncle, the late Pastor Morton Hempel.  He enjoyed being outdoors, whether working in the yard or hunting and fishing in the area with his family.  He also enjoyed collecting scrap for recycling, but his greatest joy was his family, and especially his nieces and nephews.

Surviving family includes his siblings, Kelly Muniz, Daniel Lott, and Walter Lott, all of Elkhart, Indiana, Timothy Lott of Berrien Springs, and Stephanie (& Ann) Cramer of Goshen, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Judy Lott, and by a niece.

Services for Ronald Lott will be at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Halbritter-Wickens Funeral Home, 615 East Main Street in Niles with Pastor Dennis Carpenter of the Church of God – Full Gospel officiating.  The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
