Robert Lee Stanneart, age 75 years of Niles, Michigan died on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Lakeland Medical Center in Saint Joseph, Michigan following an extended illness.
He was born on December 29, 1942 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Floyd M. and Eula J. (Tribble) Stanneart. He attended Bridgman Schools, and has lived in this area all of his life.
Bob had been employed by area farms, including several years on the Stelter Farms in Bridgman. He still enjoyed spending time outside, and greeted his neighbors in passing.
He was previously married to the former Shirley Barricks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Eula; and by several siblings including Carl Bakeman who died in infancy, Letha Louise Stanneart who died at eleven years old in an accident, and Maryann Stanneart Sloan, Anna Mae Bakeman, Ken Bakeman, Art Bakeman, and Pearl Peterson who died in April of this year.
Surviving family includes his siblings, Wanda Craft of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Sharron Shauss of Coloma, Michigan, Patricia Warden of Indiana, Mildred Culberson of Buhl, Idaho, and Sara Bakeman of Niles; and many nieces and nephews.
The family of Robert Stanneart will gather privately to honor his life and share memories. Arrangements were made at the Halbritter-Wickens Funeral Home, 615 East Main Street, Niles, Michigan.
