Robert Kuhl

South Bend - Robert W. Kuhl, 83, passed away at 2:35am on Monday, February 13, 2017 in Memorial Hospital.
Robert was born on December 24, 1933 in Cleveland, OH to the late, Arthur R. and Carrie Evelyn (Eppich) Kuhl. On September 22, 1962 in Galien, MI Robert married Joyce “Peg” (Anderson) who preceded him in death.
Robert is survived by his sons, Eric A. Kuhl and Gareth W. (Amy) Kuhl; brother, James (Jerry) Kuhl, Jan Kuhl, and Jean (Rex) Rose; grandchildren, Heather (Matthew) Docherty, Pierce Kuhl, Meredith Kuhl, and Scarlett Kuhl; great-grandchildren, Sloane Docherty, and Clark Docherty; sister-in-law, Yvonne (Bonnie) McCaige; and companion, Shirley Fox.
Robert honorably served his country in the US Army. He graduated from Galien High School and Indiana University and retired after 30 years with Clark Equipment Company.
Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in HALBRITTER-WICKENS FUNERAL HOME 615 E. Main St. Niles. A Funeral Ceremony will be at 10am on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Galien Cemetery.
