Rebecca Virginia Fuller, age 59 years of Niles, Michigan died at 9:46 a.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the University Hospitals in Ann Arbor, Michigan following an extended illness.
She was born on December 3, 1956 in Saint Joseph, Michigan to Melvin J. and Jeanette (Bishop) Ehas, Sr. She was graduated from Brandywine High School, and has lived in Niles all of her life. She has been employed in several customer service positions in the South Bend and Niles area.
Becky was an active volunteer at the Niles Haunted House Scream Park, and personally donated to several worthy causes. She was also an active member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and participated in its reunions and Powwows. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, and had traveled throughout the southwest United States.
On August 25, 1978 in Niles she married Stephen Kent Fuller with whom she celebrated the thirty-fourth anniversary of their wedding prior to his death on October 6, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her father, Melvin Ehas, Sr. and a sister, Julia Covington.
Surviving family includes her children, Brandy (& Kevin) Bybee Gerken of Napoleon, Ohio, Joshua Shea Bybee of Virginia, Tyson Kent (& Marlena Altwine) Fuller of Niles, and Thomas John Fuller of Michigan City, Indiana; grandchildren, Nykoma, Dakota, Brea, Shea, and Abby; great-grandchildren Brodyn and Nevaeh; Becky’s mother, Jeanette “Beth” Velez of Niles; a sister, Marietta Stanley of South Bend, Indiana and brother, Melvin Ehas, Jr. of Niles and several nieces and nephews.
The family of Becky Fuller will host a celebration of her life beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Bell Professional Building, 305 North Third Street in Niles. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday at the Bell Building beginning at 3:00 p.m. – please enter from the parking lot at Sycamore and Fourth Street.
Contributions in memory of Becky may be made to the “Haunters for Hope” American Cancer Society Relay for Life team c/o 101 South Broadway, Cassopolis, Michigan 49031. Arrangements were made at the Halbritter-Wickens Funeral Home in Niles.
