Peggy Darnell

Peggy JoAnn Darnell, age 70 of Three Oaks, Michigan died on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Lakeland Hospital in Saint Joseph Michigan following an extended illness. She was born September 19, 1945 in South Bend to Marvin and Marguerite “Peg” (Strang) Johnson.
Peggy loved her grandchildren and enjoyed attending all of their sporting events like football, cheerleading, baseball and softball games.
Surviving family includes one son, Robby Darnell of Tennessee; two daughters, Cindy Crowell of Niles and Jenny (& Jeff) Jellison of Three Oaks, Michigan; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Peggy is also survived by her two sisters, Susan Johnson-Greenfield of South Bend and Debbie (& Joe Welling) Sanchez of Niles.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nikki Darnell.
The funeral service for Peggy JoAnn Darnell will be held at 1:00p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles. Interment will follow at Mission Hills, Niles.
The family will receive relatives and friend from 6-8:00p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday. Donations in memory of Peggy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
