Biography Pauline Charlotte Zavitz, age 90, of Louis Street, Niles, Michigan died on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles following a brief illness. She was born November 18, 1922 in Allegan, Michigan to Frank & Laur (Weny) Hills.
On November 22, 1942 in Allegan she married Floyd B. “Bud” Zavitz, who preceded her in death on September 8, 2001. Pauline and her husband moved to Niles shortly after getting married. Pauline was the personnel director at Simplicity Pattern Company in Niles. She enjoyed reading and watching a good movie.
Pauline is survived by 3 sons; Frank (& Linda) Zavitz of Niles, Gregg Zavitz of Edina Minnesota and Max (Zaida) Zavitz of Scottsdale, Arizona. Also surviving are grandchildren; Chad, Scott, Staci & Evan and great-grandchildren; Cade, Niah, Bo and Brody. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
The family will gather privately for services.
Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Allegan, Michigan.
