Nancy Simmons

Nancy Leah Simmons, age 67 years of Niles, Michigan died on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. She was born December 14, 1947 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Claude and Nola (Mitchell) Simmons.

Nancy graduated from Niles High School in 1965 and managed restaurants at the Four Flags Hotel, Fraternal Order Of Eagles 2094, and the Four Seasons throughout her lifetime in Niles. She also worked part-time at the Am-Vets in Niles. Nancy loved visiting casinos, both in Michigan and during her weekend trips to Las Vegas to play Texas Hold’em; her best game.

Nancy is survived by her brother, Robert Simmons of Hinesville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Claudia Simmons-Garcia and Norma Mervine.

A time for friends and family to gather and share memories of Nancy will be held from 4-6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles.
