Ms. Myrle Jernigan

Myrle Jean Jernigan, age 58 years of Niles, Michigan died on Saturday, July 5, 2015 at Lakeland HealthCare following an extended illness. She was born August 31, 1956 in Niles to William and Helen (Stewart) Jernigan.

Myrle loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She would plan a big meal for any occasion and asked for everyone to attend. Myrle also loved her dogs and enjoyed watching her talkshows on television.

Surviving family includes children, Tonia (& William Ivory) Jernigan and Tony Jernigan, all of Niles, Tim (& Deborah) Masterman of Dowagiac, Michigan and Robert (& Toni) Masterman of Elkhart and ten grandchildren. Also surviving are Myrle’s siblings, William Jernigan, Jr., Martha Riggs, Kenton (& Tammy) Chapman, Robert Jernigan and David Chapman, all of Niles and Stanley Chapman of California.

Myrle is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Masterman, Jr., parents, Francis and Helen Chapman and brothers, Calvin Chapman and George Jernigan.

The family will gather privately for services. Donations in memory of Myrle may be made to Hospice at Home.
