Mildred Muntz

Mildred L. “Mickey” Muntz, age 93 years of Niles, Michigan died on July 27, 2016 at Lakeland Healthcare Hospital in Niles. She was born July 21, 1923 in Erin, Tennessee to Charlie Andrew and Nettie May (Beechem) Ladd.
Mickey was a member of the Fraternal Order Eagles 2094 where she was a former past president, trustee and was part of their bowling league.
On June 7, 1971 in Niles, Mickey married Clayton A. “Dude” Muntz, Sr., who preceded her in death on July 11, 1995.
Surviving family includes two brothers, Charles Ladd, Jr. of Ashton City, Tennessee and Harold Ladd of Cumberland City, Tennessee; step-son, Clayton Muntz, Jr.; step-grandson, Brent Muntz; step-great-grandson Blake Muntz and companion Mervin Morris.
Mickey was preceded in death by husband, sisters, Mary Shields and Ruby Parrot and brothers, Thomas, Luther and Edward Ladd.
The funeral service for Mildred L. “Mickey” Muntz will be held at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with the Rev. Fran Lane-Lawrence of the First Presbyterian Church in Niles officiating. Interment will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Donations in memory of Mickey may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Riley Hospital for Children.
