After years of a tough fight with Lewy Body Dementia, Mary Carol Faulkner passed away peacefully on June 6, 2024, just a week before her 80th birthday.
Mary was born into this world in Niles, MI on June 13, 1944 to Mary Eckler and Maurice Lloyd. Mary adored her home town and fulfilled her wishes of living out the rest of her days in her Niles home that she shared with her husband and children for over half of her life.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James Faulkner. Daughter, Denise Faulkner, Dad, Maurice Lloyd and Mom and step father, Mary and Gilbert Clubb and brother, Bub Clubb.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter: Dawn Lyles, grandchildren: Jaclyn Lyles and Christopher Simpson. sister: Judy Wagner, and brother: Bob (Betty) Lloyd and family friend, Dan Bunch
Mary was a proud traditional woman and she was admired by many for her loving and caring nature. As a member of the First Church of Christ for 20 years, Mary has exemplified her love of Christ by greeting everyone she met with a hug, smile, and a helping hand. Mary was a second mother to many and a friend to everyone.
Mary was known county- wide for her delicious cooking, especially her eclaire dessert and homemade pretzels. Mary also loved crocheting, playing bingo, caring for her plants, and she always looked forward to her annual trip to the casino. These are the things she wished to be remembered for.
Anyone who knew Mary knew how amazing of a woman she was, no words could do it justice. Mary was loved dearly and will be missed by many.
A memorial service for Mary Faulkner will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday June 13, 2024 at
First Church of Christ
2240 Yankee St., Niles, Michigan.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, at the Church, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
