Mary L Beck, age 90, of Edwardsburg MI, after battling aging issues of dementia and recent strokes, passed on to be with the Lord early Friday morning Oct 27, 2017.
Born in Buchanan MI Aug 10, 1927. Raised & worked in Niles MI for many years.
Niles High School Grad Class 1945, worked at The Ready Theatre, The Paris Soda Shop, and even City Hall before spending the next 45 yrs working for Simplicity Pattern Co as a pattern hand folder.
In 1946 at St Mary’s Catholic Church she married her Jr. High School Sweetheart, and just returning WWII Navy Veteran Ray Beck. Ray work 45 years for Tyler’s Refrigeration and they lived many years in the Niles Oak Manor neighborhood.
In their years before retirement, Ray built their little dream home on Eagle Lake in Edwardsburg where they spent their retirement years between Eagle Lake in the Summers and Port Charlotte Florida golfing in Winters.
After Rays passing in 2008, Mary continued living at Eagle Lake. She will be greatly missed by us All!!
She is survived by her children, Jerald Beck, Cheryl Yoder; grandchildren, Ian Beck, Kevin & Cindy Yoder, Izabela Mazurek; great grandchildren, Jennifer Yoder, Dustin King, Wakili Johnson, Alyce Cartwright, and the Beck kids, Selah, Mercy Ann, & 2mo old Keziah.
There will be no services at this time. Halbritter Wickens Funeral Home, Niles is assisting the family with arrangements.
