Mark Marshall

Mark Peter Marshall, age 55 years of Niles, Michigan and formerly of Texas died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at his home.

He was born on February 12, 1962 in Edinburgh, Scotland to Gerald Francis and Irene Mary (Stook) Marshall.  He was graduated from Grosse Pointe (Michigan) North High School, and continued his education to complete Paramedic credentials.  He was employed at the Arlington, Texas Emergency Medical Service, Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and Fort Worth MedStar.  He has lived most of his life in Texas before moving to Niles last year.

Mark was raised in the Catholic faith.  In his youth, he learned to play the piano, and has always enjoyed music.  He could often be found on the front row at popular music concerts.

He was previously married to Sherrill Marie “Sherry” Looper; and was preceded in death by his sister, Clare M. Dedrick.

Surviving family includes his son, Justin Lee (& Sarah Wilkerson) Marshall of Cleburne, Texas; grandchildren, Mary and Kaleb; his parents, Gerald and Irene Marshall of Niles; his brother, Guy Marshall (& his wife, Hannah Burr) of Ann Arbor, Michigan and sister, Maria (& Rev. John) Abbott of Lincoln, Nebraska; nieces and nephews, Hannah Abbott, Noah Abbott, Ian (& Kaila) Diede, and Connor Diede.

The family of Mark Marshall will gather privately for a Liturgical Prayer Service at the Halbritter-Wickens Funeral Home in Niles led by the Rev. Thomas King, C.S.C. of Saint Mark Catholic Church in Niles.  Committal will be back home in Texas.  Online condolences may be left at:
