Mark Gross

Mark Gross, age 42 years of Niles, Michigan died at 11:26 a.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at his home, unexpectedly but of natural causes.
He was born on October 25, 1970 in South Bend, Indiana to Louis James and Ruth Naomi (Nance) Gross. He attended school in South Bend and Niles, and has lived in this area all of his life. He was employed for many years at Ameri-Kart.
Mark was a great fan of the University of Michigan Football. He enjoyed barbqueing in his backyard, fishing, and music, especially rock music. His greatest joy was his children.
On March 12, 2008 in Cass County, Michigan he married the former Holly A. Messner who survives. He is also survived by his children, Martina Gross, Jonathon Gross, Christina Hunt, Marquita Hunt, and Marcus Hunt; and Mark’s sisters and brothers, Sonja “Vet” Herd, Kyle “Tim” Nance, Roxanne Nance, and Kevin Elkins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Gross who died in 1982, and father Louis (& Lucinda) Gross.
The family of Mark Gross will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles. Contributions in memory of Mark may be made to the donor’s choice.
