Mark "Gene" Eugene Cupp

Mark Eugene Cupp "Gene", 76, of Niles, died June 3, 2024 in the comfort of his family's presence.

His life began November 5, 1947 in Hamilton, Ohio, the first of five born to Mark and Catherine Cupp.

He attended Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana and worked in banking and financial institutions over the years. Gene participated in ministry with the Church of God in various capacities and was a man of great faith. He also previously attended the First Baptist Church of Niles, where he served on the Nursery School Board. He also served his community on the Niles city council Planning Commission.

Gene will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his two daughters Amanda (& Jason) Nicodemus of Niles, Melissa (& Yohan) Salim of Illinois, one son Mark Cupp of Niles, six grandchildren Christopher Hebner of Illinois, Abby Rubenthaler of Niles, Darren Sulak of Niles, Axton Salim of Illinois, Adelyn Salim of Illinois, Jacob Nicodemus of Niles, and two great grandchildren Jenna Rubenthaler and Oliver Tucker, two brothers Charles (& Leta) Cupp of Florida, Robert (& Rhonda) Cupp of Ohio, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Diane Heil and brother Thomas Cupp.

Family and friends will gather Friday June 21, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the First Church of God 33180 Highway US 12, Niles, Michigan, with his memorial service following at 2:00 pm.
