Niles – Margaret Eileen (Mund) McKay, 87, of Niles, Michigan passed away on April 29, 2018 in Mishawaka, Indiana. Margaret was born on August 20, 1930 in Parris Island, South Carolina to the late Edwin James and Harriet Louise (Ward) Mund. She graduated from Duke University with a degree in Spanish and was a lifelong member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. “Eileen” worked as a translator/editor for the Pan American Union in Washington, DC. After marrying Charles F. McKay on June 14, 1956, they lived in Ecuador, Venezuela, and Uruguay before settling in Miami, FL where they lived from 1963 to 2002. While in Miami, she worked as a realtor. She moved to Melbourne, FL then to Niles, MI where she lived with her daughter and family. Eileen is survived by her two daughters, Lisa (Michael) Anderson, and Sharon (James) Burrows; grandchildren, Wesley Anderson, Nathan Anderson, Milisa Anderson, Kirsta (Zachary) Strickland, Briana Burrows, and Kelsey Burrows. There will be no local services. Margaret will be buried with her husband in Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South in Miami, FL.
