Madeline Warren

Madeline Mardel Warren, age 90 years of Niles, Michigan died on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at her home following an extended illness. She was born November 1, 1923 in Elkhart, Indiana to Gordon and Mae (Robin) Fletcher.

Surviving family includes son Terry (& Carol) Warren and daughter Julie (& Roger) Griggs all of Elkhart, 12 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are Madeline’s brothers, Bob Fletcher and Carl (& Betty) Fletcher of Elkhart.

Madeline was preceded in death by her husband of over 70 years Richard Warren, one brother, Gordon Fletcher and two sisters, Ruth Backert and Dorothy Simms.

Madeline’s sweet nature was admired by family and caretakers alike. She loved her children and grandchildren. In her younger years, Madeline liked to go camping and completing crossword puzzles. More recently, she enjoyed her soap operas and gameshows.

The family of Madeline Warren will host a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at River of Life Community Church, 2626 Prairie St., Elkhart.
