Lucille Reynolds

Lucille J. Reynolds, age 85 years of Niles, Michigan died at 1:56 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at her home following an extended illness.

She was born on August 24, 1928 in Shiawassee County, Michigan to Joseph and Sarah (Roome) Wickenhiser, and attended school in Cohoctah Township. She has lived in Niles for thirty years.

Lucille enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, and attending yard and garage sales. She is best remembered for all of the mother’s attributes she exhibited in successfully raising twelve children.

On October 17, 1983 in South Bend, Indiana she married Oren J. Reynolds who preceded her in death on January 12, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents and by two sons, William Bostwick in 2005 and Gary Bostwick in 2006.

Surviving family includes her children, Sarah (& Fran) Bernard of Massachusetts, Joseph (& Sandy) Bostwick of Cassopolis, Michigan, Peggy Murphy of Maryland, Robert (& Susan) Bostwick of Phoenix, Arizona, Lyle Bostwick of Maryland, Dennis Bostwick of Niles, Lloyd “Guy” Bostwick of Buchanan, Nancy Marchus of Tucson, Arizona, Larry Bostwick of Niles, and Lucille (& Jack) Ryman of Niles; twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Lucille Reynolds will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with Chaplain Kevin Brintnall of Grace Hospice officiating. Interment will follow at Mission Hills.

The family will receive relatives and friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Lucille may be made to Grace Hospice.
