Linda 'Susie" True

Linda ‘Susie’ True, 52 of Dowagiac, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 in Spectrum Lakeland Health in St. Joseph.

Susie was born early on April 1, 1969 and left us too soon.  However, Susie lived on what became known as ‘Susie-time’.

Susie had many passions in life. She enjoyed crafts, playing Pool in the APA league.  She was a wonderful cook but enjoyed letting those whom she would cook for, clean up the dishes. She loved animals and would bring home an interesting array of strays.  The family was never surprised by Susie adopting, chickens, squirrels, cats or dogs.

Susie had a unique collection of heart shaped rocks. She would look for them wherever she went. Which is appropriate since she gave her heart to everyone. Susie loved her family more than anything. Her smile and love for them will be forever missed.

Susie also had a deep love of the Lord. She attended Michiana Christian Embassy. Susie’s family has taken great comfort in knowing that she now rests comfortably in the arms of her Savior.

Susie is survived by her Fiancé Jeffrey W. Van Kirk of Dowagiac, her daughters, Crystal (Dereck) Van Kirk of Galien, MI., Antionette Anson of Cassopolis, MI, grandchildren; Savana Wilson, Robby Wilson III and Cierra Campbell, her brothers and sisters; William ‘Nelson’ (Sandra) Norred of Sharpsburg, GA, Jimmy (Cathy) Norred of Hogansville, GA, Michael (Lynn) Norred of Niles, Terri (Anthony) Eckstein of Niles, her Aunts, Evelyn Hatfield of Pinellas Park, FL, Linda Sue Luke of Knoxville, TN, her Uncle, Norman Kukla, her niece and nephew, Chanelle Santana of Mooresville, NC and Nicolas Santana of Sanford, FL.

Susie is preceded in death by her parents, William and Cecilia Norred and by her infant son, William Michael.

Visitation for Susie will be on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 10:30am to 11:30am at Michiana Christian Embassy 1922 E. Main St. Niles. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:30 am with Pastor Jeff Whittaker presiding.
