Linda Ann Hocker

Linda Ann Hocker, 67, of Edwardsburg, died at home after a brief battle with cancer, Monday March 10, 2025. Her life began May 24, 1957 in Niles, the first of four children born to James and JoAnn Hocker.

Linda loved rocks, she could often be found outside collecting and painting them. Linda enjoyed arts and crafts, including diamond paintings and adult coloring books. She was a caring, loving person, who put others before herself. She would sacrificially give to others even when times were tough. Linda was gentle, nurturing and empathetic. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Linda will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by one daughter, Melissa Hocker of Edwardsburg; two grandchildren, Alissa (Brett) Humphrey of Edwardsburg, David (Danielle) Hayslip of Constantine; three great grandchildren, Brett Lee Jr, Rayetta Ann, with Dean Joseph on the way in April; sister, Terry Wirick of Niles; two nieces, Latasha Wilson, Malinda Robinson; two nephews, Gene “Lester” Mervine, Joseph Jasper and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jimmy Hocker and sister Gail Mervine.

Services will be announced at a later date.
