Kenneth E. Keith, 93, of Niles, died October 17, 2024. His life began January 17, 1931, in Niles, born to James Keith and Frances Mildred Howell Keith. He passed away peacefully at Brentwood Assisted Living in Niles
Ken served proudly in the United States Army entering the service on November 22, 1948, and retiring October 31, 1971, after 23 years as a Major. He was a member of Military Officer's Association, the American Legion in Buchanan and the DAV. After leaving the service, Ken received a Degree in Computer Sciences from Ferris State University and worked as a computer programmer for Whirlpool and Town Airfreight, finally retiring in 1992.
On June 5, 1992, in PA He married his high school sweetheart, Gladys Davidson Canfield with whom he enjoyed spending 30 wonderful years together. They spent their winters in Gulf Shores, Alabama with friends and were always going on bus trips throughout the US and traveling abroad.
Ken was a God loving man, a solider, an Officer, and a leader. He also had a lighter side and was quite the prankster always bringing smiles to the faces of his friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents James Gordon Keith and Mildred Probst, his wife, Gladys Davidson Canfield Keith, brother, James Gordon Keith Jr, and Sister Helen Lorraine Keith.
Ken will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by a Brother Ronald L Keith, Freemansburg, PA and a Sister Barbara E Wilks, Niles, Ml as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice and the Brentwood Staff for all the care and concern for Ken.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 07, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens 61453 M51, Niles, Michigan 49120.
