Judith Elaine Hoese, 69, of Niles died suddenly, January 11, 2025. Her life began in Oak Park Illinois, the second of five born to Robert and Lois Freske. She married Kenneth Waine Hoese on August 27th, 1977 in Niles, MI at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. In the same year she graduated from Central Michigan University. Her caring heart showed in her work life as well, working in the HealthCare industry for her career.
Judy was lovingly called: Momma Judy, Momma J and Nina. She could often be found reading or relaxing in the backyard listening to music. When she had control of the television, her choice was always a good Hallmark movie. She had a great sense of adventure and liked to take trips “up north”. Above all, Judy loved being a grandmother. Her passions were her family and faith. Judy will be remembered for her huge heart. She never expected anything in return and always greeted people with a warm smile and a hug.
Judy will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her Husband, Kenneth Waine Hoese; one daughter, Andrea Hoese, (Chris Moore) Niles; son Greg, (Brean) Hoese of Boyne City; three grandchildren, Dylan, Leighton, and Henley; two sisters, Kathy (Larry) McLaughlin and Grace (John) Parshall; one brother, Rick (Cyndi) Freske; one sister-in-law Julie Freske and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lois Freske and Brother Robert Freske Jr.
Family and friends will gather for her service, Sunday, January 19th, 12:30p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1340 Sycamore Street, Niles.
The family prefers contributions in memory of Judy be made to the Brian Parker Foundation or the American Heart Association.
