Jan Marie Sayer, age 66 years of Niles, Michigan died at 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, after an extended illness. She was born on January 13, 1947 in Niles to John B. and Eileen (O’Brien) Wainwright.
Jan was graduated from Brandywine High school in 1965. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed many social activities. She had been an Avon representative for over three decades. She also enjoyed being a buyer for the Lakeland Community Hospital Gift Shop for several years.
On April 25, 1967, Jan married Victor Vinnedge, who preceded her in death on July 4, 1972. On December 31, 1987, she married Stephen Sayer, who survives. Also surviving are her daughters Tricia (& Gary) Wolfinger and Alicia (& Jason) Swenson, both of Niles; grandchildren Michael (& Jennifer) Bounds, Joseph Cabanaw, Joshua and Jacob Wolfinger, and J.D. and Grace Swenson; great-grandchild, Oliver Bounds; her mother Eileen (& Joe) Woods of Panama City, Florida; a brother John (&Theo) Wainwright of Maui, and a sister Karen (& Vince) O’Keefe of Panama City Florida.
In addition to her first husband, Jan was also preceded in death by her son Robbie Vinnedge and sister, Cheryl Wainwright who also died on July 4, 1972; her granddaughter Alison Marie Bounds, who died on March 25, 1996; and her father.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Halbritter Funeral Home. The family will be gathering privately for services.
