James Lilley

James L. Lilley, 60 of Niles passed away at his home on Thursday October 5, 2017.

James was born on August 17, 1957 in Gary Indiana to James and Rose (Sabo) McNorton.

James is preceded in death by his mother Rose.

He is survived by his wife Mary, children; Jennifer (Dan) Frey of Sturgis, MI, Justin (Dyann) Lilley of St. Cloud, Florida and Gregory Conrad, Jr. of Niles, his father James McNorton of Lake Panasoffkee, FL, his sister Marjorie Rihley of Windsor Heights, WV, brother Michael Wolf of Havelock, NC., grand-daughter Scya and numerous nieces and nephews.

James honorably served in the Airforce.  He retired as a Federal Inspector with the USDA after 27 years.  James was a member of the NRA and Bend of the River Conservation Club.  He was a gifted musician who could play the guitar and write music.  He enjoyed the Martial Arts.  James loved gardening and being on the farm.  He also enjoyed horses and horseback riding.  James treasured the time he was able to have with his family.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday October 12, 2017 at 5pm in Halbritter Wickens Funeral Home, 615 E. Main St. The family will receive visitors from 3pm- 5pm on Thursday.
