Jacob Daniel Wieger, age 25 years formerly of Niles, Michigan died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 24, 2018 in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
He was born on May 25, 1992 in South Bend, Indiana to George S. and Katherine A. Wieger. He graduated as valedictorian from Brandywine High School, earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), and completed post-graduate studies at the University of Northampton (England). He was employed as a chemical engineer by the Lear Corporation’s Eagle Ottawa premium automotive leather division in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Jake was a member of Saint Mary Catholic Church in Niles. He enjoyed working-out in the gym, was a member of a competition trivia team and bowling team. He enjoyed playing video games with his friends, family and loved one. Jake was a loving son, a dependable brother and a good friend to many; and he was dearly loved.
Surviving family includes his parents, Kathy and George Wieger of Niles; brothers Matthew (Kalie) Wieger of Buchanan and Brian Wieger of Schenectady, New York and sister, Megan Wieger of Niles; nieces Adlie and Emrie; grandmother, Margaret Wieger of Niles; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; his cat; and his loving companion, Wiebke Ford of Niles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George Wieger in 1986, Patrick Malone in 2010, and Nancy Malone, sadly just earlier this month.
