Hector Armando “Jim” Rocha, 90, of Wilder, Tennessee, died September 13, 2024. His life began July 23, 1934, in Rio Grande, Texas, one of four born to Jose and Tina (Perez)Rocha.

Jim served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was very proud of his service. He enjoyed spending time with other veterans at the VFW hall. He also enjoyed spending time outside golfing and hunting.

Jim will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by daughter, Kim and her husband, Les Zillmer of Punta Gorda, Florida; sons, Christopher and his wife, Kim Rocha of Wilder, Tennessee, Nick Rocha of Huntington Beach, California; several grandchildren, Nicholas, Kristen, Amanda, Mary; and his sister, Rosa “Cookie” and her husband Zeke Hand of Niles, MI,

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe “Sash” Rocha; sister Ida Bucha; and grandson, Matthew Zillmer.

Family and friends will gather Monday, September 23, 2024, from 11:00 am Eastern Daylight Time, 10:00 am Central Daylight Time, until time of service at 12:00 noon Eastern Daylight Time, 11:00 am Central Daylight Time, in Halbritter Wickens Funeral Services, 615 East Main Street, Niles. Jim will be laid to rest Monday, September 23, 2024, at 1:30 pm Eastern Daylight Time, 12:30 pm Central Daylight Time, in Patton Cemetery, 1401 Rumely Street, LaPorte, Indiana 46350.
