Greta Marie Topash Pollock, 64 of Cassopolis, loving wife, mother and grandmother (aka Mimi) and great grandmother (aka GG) passed away after a long battle with cancer.
Greta was born on May 27, 1958 in Niles to the late Daniel and Kathleen Topash.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters; Linda Yazel, Gail White and Patricia Topash and her brother, Joseph ‘Joe Forty’ Topash.
On October 1, 1983 Greta married her soul mate, Brent Pollock who survives.
She is also survived by her children; Danielle Knight of Cassopolis, Rebecca Pollock of Cassopolis, Abilena Purcell of Cassopolis, grandchildren; A.J. Knight, Darrien Knight, Hallee Borders, Ellah Borders and Colton Purcell, great grandchildren; Adam Knight, Evelyn Knight, and Khanni Knight.
Greta was loving Mom to everyone. She loved her family. Greta was quick witted but stern.
An amazing cook, she made the best Indian Fry Bread and so much more. She was someone who had the ability to grow plants and to nurture her pets. She loved her goldfish and her fur babies, Asteria and Benny.
Greta was proud to be an active member of Pokégnek Bodéwadmik (Pokagon Band of Potawatmi). She enjoyed teaching the traditions and customs to children.
A combined Memorial service for Greta and her sister, Linda will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at 1:00pm in Halbritter Wickens Funeral Home. Family and friends may visit with the family from 12noon to 1:00pm at Halbritter Wickens Funeral Home 615 E. Main St. Niles.
