Goldie Mae Burks, 95 of Niles, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at The Timbers of Cass County.

Goldie was born on December 4, 1926 in Malden, Missouri to the late Franklin and Alice (Allen) Lacy.

Goldie moved to Niles in 1941.  She married Thelbert King Burks who preceded her in death in 1986. She is also preceded by her son Gary Burks and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son Thelbert Ray Burks of California and Leonard Dale (Julia) Burks of Niles, grandchildren; Bonnie Rouch, Gary (Terri) Burks, Tim Burks and Charlie Burks, Great Grandchildren, Melanie Duncan of Edgewater, FL, Russell Rousey of Niles, Cierra (Christopher) Davison of Edwardsburg and Alex Rouch of Niles, her daughter-in-law Shriley Burks of Niles and 9 Great Great grandchildren. Sister-in-laws Hazel and June (Odell) Burks, brother-in-law Roy and Clifford Burks and many nieces and nephews.

Goldie worked in Central Supply for the South Bend Osteopathic Hospital. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing guitar, crocheting and was an avid reader. She also loved taking her Cocker Spaniel, Penny, for rides in the car.

A Funeral service for Goldie will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 in the Old Chapel on the grounds of Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Halbritter Wickens Funeral Home, 615 E. Main St. Niles.
