Gerald Litty

Gerald Lee “Jerry” Litty, age 67 years of Niles, Michigan died Sunday, June 7, 2015 at his home following an extended illness.

He was born on December 13, 1947 in Michigan City, Indiana to Frederick L. and Frances L. (Brooks) Litty. He was graduated from Niles High School, and lived in Niles most of his life. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam Era, serving in the United States Army.

Jerry loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed taking nature walks along the Dowagiac Creek, watching the wildlife. At home, he could be found feeding the birds and squirrels.

Surviving family includes his daughters, Angela (& Scott) Pearson of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Nicole Panczak of Niles, and Amy Panczak of Dowagiac; and a brother Roger Litty, of Niles.

Services for Gerald Litty will be at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles, and will conclude with the Veteran's Flag Presentation and Taps by the United States Army Honor Guard.
