Frances Zora Villwock, age 79 of Baldwin, Michigan, formerly of Niles died on Monday, March 25, 2013 at River Manor in Three Oaks, Michigan following an extended illness. She was born February 3, 1934 in Pellston, Michigan to Frank Alfred & Martha Belle (Stineback) Compoe, Jr.
Frances graduated from Niles High School in 1952. On June 21, 1952 she married Glenn E. Villwock at Saint John’s United Church of Christ in Niles, he preceded her in death on February 15, 1990.
Frances formerly attended Three Rivers Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed jig-saw puzzles and hand stitching needlework and embroidery. She loved animals, especially watching the birds and squirrels in nature.
Surviving family includes daughter Glenna (& Dave) Hedrick of Harrisonburg, Virginia, sons Bob (& fiancée Susan Easterday) Villwock and Jeff (& Dana) Villwock, all of Three Rivers, grandchildren; Ryan Villwock, David (& Ashley Buerson) Villwock, Joel (&Trisha) Hedrick, Dana Hedrick, Katrina (& Nik) Hoyt, Clarissa (& Ricky) Jackson, Heather Villwock and several great-grandchildren. Also surviving are Frances’ twin-sister Frieda Gulliver of Rockford, Michigan and several nieces and nephews.
Frances is preceded in death by her husband Glenn and brothers Raymond and Clarence Compoe.
Funeral services for Frances Zora Villwock will be held at 10:00a.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles with the Rev. Edward H. Slate of Faith United Methodist Church in Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8:00p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the funeral home.
