Niles – Donna M. (Wilson) Eichler, 92, passed away at 2:00pm on Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Donna was born on July 26, 1925 in Albion, MI to the late Harley and Audrey (Wagner) Wilson. On June 9, 1942, Donna married Pierce E. Lewis who passed away on November 26, 1944. On August 31, 1946, Donna married William A. Eichler who passed away on December 5, 1997. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers; 2 sisters; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Paul Johns.
Donna is survived by her children, Harley Lewis, Larry (Cindy) Eichler, Karoline Johns, and Richard (Jann) Eichler; 8 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Donna worked at Simplicity Pattern Company before she retired in 1981. She enjoyed playing golf and cards. She was an avid Scrabble player. Her family was the most important thing to her.
Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Thursday, December 28, 2017 in HALBRITTER WICKENS FUNERAL HOME, 615 E. Main St., Niles. Funeral Services will be at 11am on Friday, December 29, 2017 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with Pastor Lis officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
