Biography

Dominic E. Lomoro, age 58 years of Bridgman, Michigan died at 3:07 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, Michigan following an extended illness.

He was born on June 27, 1957 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Michael and Estelle (Ward) Lomoro. He was graduated from Bridgman (Michigan) High School, and has lived in this area all of his life.

Dominic was a proficient auto mechanic and capable in many other trades. He enjoyed helping friends with auto repair and other home maintenance issues. He was a longtime fan of the National Football League Miami Dolphins, but had more recently been cheering for the Minnesota Vikings; and he has been a faithful fan of University of Michigan football. He has enjoyed travelling throughout the eastern Unites States.

He has been married several times, including to Star Dawn Elizabeth Lomoro, who died in 1996.

Surviving family includes his children, Tiffany Deanne Marie (& Michael) Rochefort of Bridgman, Linda-Jean Grace Dotson of Sawyer, Michigan, Michael Vincent (& Bailey) Lomoro of Berrien Springs, Michigan, Christopher Michael Ballard of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Tabitha (& Jacob) Livings of Benton Harbor; grandchildren Andrew Dotson, Ashley Dotson, Devon Scott Tomsheck, Brookelyn Rochefort, Michael Paul Rochefort, Jr., Michael Vincent Lomoro, Jr., Nicole Livings, Makenzie Livings, and Josiah Livings; and Dominic’s brother, Joseph (& Sandra) Lomoro and sister, Patricia Lomoro of Bridgman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by several aunts and uncles including Edward Ward.

The family of Dominic Lomoro will be inviting relatives and friends to share memories and honor his life at the Lakeside Family Church in Stevensville in the near future. Arrangements were made at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles, Michigan.
