Dennis Carl Soyk, age 53 years, of Niles, Michigan died on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
He was born on February 14, 1963 Rhode Island to Carl and Jonell Soyk. He was employed as a truck driver.
Dennis enjoyed playing video games and watching television, especially The Walking Dead, and Dog Diesel.
Surviving family includes his children Edward C. (& Marissa) Soyk of Niles, Kasey M. (& Dave) Neidlinger of Kalamazoo, and Breianna (& fiancé Kenneth Kennedy) Neidlinger-Soyk of Niles; one grandchild, Leo; longtime friends Craig (& Judy) Richter, Connie Cox, and his children’s mother, Kandy Kay Kirby.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lee Soyk, who died in 2008.
The funeral service for Dennis Soyk will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles followed by the Veteran’s Flag Presentation and Taps by the United States Army Honor Guard.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 p.m.
In honor of Dennis, please wear University of Michigan attire or the team colors, blue and maize.
