Dan Steven Clark, age 60 of Dowagiac, Michigan passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. He was born May 3, 1953 in Berrien Springs, Michigan to Perry Dean and Donna Mae (Neitzel) Clark.
Dan was self-employed and retired from his trade in 2009. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and being creative in his work. He was a member of both the Eagles Lodge and the Moose Lodge.
Surviving family includes life companion Colleen Kimbrell of Niles, daughter Shelli Haydon of Elkhart, grandchildren, Amanda Ellsworth, Kayla Ellsworth and Austin Ellsworth and great granddaughter, Kay'Lianna Ellsworth, all of Elkhart. Also surviving are brothers, Larry Clark (& Chana) of Eau Claire, Michigan, Jeff Clark (& Jeanne) of Berrien Center, Michigan, sisters, Linda Preston (& Roger) of Eau Claire, Michigan, Lorayne Clark of Berrien Springs, Michigan, Debbie Johnson of Berrien Center and Valerie Clark of Berrien Springs. Dan was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Schlitt, and a brother-in-law, Ricky “RJ” Johnson.
The Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center of LaPorte, Indiana is caring for the Clark family and will be hosting a gathering of family and friends from 2-5:00p.m. on Wednesday January 29, 2014 at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles.
The family will gather privately for services.
