Connie Jean Scott, age 56 years of Niles, Michigan died at 6:35 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 with family gathered around at her home following an extended illness.
She was born on July 12, 1960 in South Bend, Indiana to James and Alice (Ellsworth) Scott, and has lived all of her life in this area.
Last Monday, September 26, 2016 she married her longtime companion, Dennis M. Scott who survives. Also surviving are her children, Thor (& Becky) Brumage of Mishawaka, Indiana and Casey (& Valerie) Sandoval of Niles; five grandsons; and her siblings, Lulabelle Williams of Mishawaka, Terry (& Towana) Scott of Tennessee, Sue Scott of Niles, Ronnie Scott of California, Sam (& Syndey) Scott of Niles, and Doug Scott and Chuck Scott, both of Mishawaka.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and by a brother, Jim Scott.
The family of Connie Scott will receive relatives and friends from Noon until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles. The visitation will conclude with a procession to the graveside in Calvary Cemetery in Niles for services with Kelly J. Connell – the minister who performed their marriage – officiating.
