Cecile M. Crandall passed away on March 19, 2020 in Riveridge nursing home in Niles.
Cecile was born on August 16, 1928 in Berrien Springs to the late Mildred (Stowell) and Ellsworth Clem.
She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Don Clem and Larry Clem.
On July 15, 1949 in Angola, Indiana she married Charles ‘Chuck’ Crandall with whom she enjoyed a remarkable sixty-nine years of marriage before his death in March 2019.
Cecile was a dedicated Mother and Homemaker who enjoyed taking trips to go shopping in the Mall of America. She also cherished time with her family and going to family reunions.
Surviving family include her daughters, Patt Chapman and Jann (& Robert) Crocker, both of Niles; grandchildren Tim (& Missy) Chapman, Brandon (& Neecy) Chapman, Jason Bonner, Scott Crocker, and Ryan (& Megan) Crocker; great-grandchildren Cole, Riley, Cooper, Corissa, and Nicholas; her sister, Peggy Kolberg of LaPierre, MI, her brother, Dale (Sharon) Clem of Summerfield, FL and several nieces and nephews.
A private visitation will be held on Sunday, March 22. A grave side service will be held on Monday, March 23, 2020 at Mission Hills Cemetery with Rev. Bob Bond of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Arrangements have been made at Halbritter Wickens Funeral Services 615 E. Main St. Niles.
