Carl Lamar Burger

Carl Lamar Burger, 85, of Niles, died peacefully, June 2, 2024.

  His life began July 19, 38 in Niles, Michigan the only child of Darrell and Helen Burger. He married Sharon Pollock, on June 6, of 1959, She survives. 

  Carl graduated from Edwardsburg High School in 1957. He and His family have farmed “Oakwood Farms”, since 1938. His sons Chad and Randy are continuing the legacy. Carl loved to travel with his wife Sharon visiting the National Parks was one of his passions. He also loved snowmobiling locally and Up North. Downhill skiing with family and friends was enjoyed for 30 years at Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville, MI. The past few years you could find Carl sharing stories and making memories around the bonfire at the family campground located on “The Farm”. 

 Carl will be greatly missed by family and friends.   He is survived by his spouse, Sharon Burger of Niles, three sons, Randall Lee Burger of Niles, Scott Edward (Beth) Burger of Niles, Chad Christopher (Kim) Burger of Niles, seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Melissa, Melinda, Carlee, Conrad, Paige, Logan, five great grandchildren, Paige, Austin, Johnny, Alex, Caroline; and many cousins. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter in law, Pearl Ann Burger.  Family and friends will gather Thursday, June 6^th at 10AM with the memorial service to begin at 11 AM in Hope United Methodist Church 69941 Elkhart Road Edwardsburg.

 Carl will later be laid to rest in Mission Hills.
