Brian Robinson

Brian Lee Robinson, age 60 years of Niles, Michigan died on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend following an extended illness. He was born December 10, 1953 in Paw Paw, Michigan to Raymond O. and June E. (Wilson) Robinson.

Brian was a 1973 graduate of Dowagiac High School, he attended Lake Michigan College. He was a Vietnam Wartime veteran of the United States Army, serving in the 82nd Airborne Division. Brian had worked part time with the police departments of Howard and Wayne Townships and as a reserve officer for the Niles Police Department. He is a 25 year veteran of the Ontwa Township Edwardsburg Police Department. He also worked part time with Buchanan Police Department. Brian loved his grandchildren, enjoyed bowling, skydiving, painting and drawing.

On September 10, 1983 in Niles, Brian married the former Karen Cribbs, who survives with their daughters, Kristin (& John) Furner of Escanaba, Michigan and Danielle (& Joshua) Schlutt of South Bend; and grandchildren, Ryan, Paige, and Noah. Brian is also survived by his mother, June E. Robinson and siblings, Sharon (& Robin) Chaney and Donna Bender of Michigan, Mike Robinson of Michigan and David Robinson of Canada.

The Episcopal Burial Rite for Brian Robinson will be performed at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Trinity Episcopal Church by The Reverend Pamela V. Sten of the congregation assisted by The Rev. James Slack. Interment will follow at Mission Hills, Niles, with military honors.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4p.m. and from 6-8:00p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles.

Donations in memory of Brian Lee Robinson may be made to Cass County Cancer Service in Edwardsburg.
