Bonita “Bonnie” S. Walters, 57, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 30, 2018 in her home.
Bonnie was born on February 1, 1961 in Dowagiac to Gerald and Shirley Criffield.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, brother Christopher, and a daughter Catherine.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, William O. Walters; her children; Sally (Steven) Cox, Lori (Travis) Fedore, Christy Cantwell, William N. Walters, Jenny Walters, Bobby Walters and Cindy Walters; step daughters Mona (Rob) Livengood, Marcie (Doug) Mason, and Margaret (Mike) Scott; step-son, Sam Alexander; grandchildren; Robert and Raffele Porter, Abagail Polly, Kathryn Fedore, Aubree Scott; her brother, John Criffield and sisters; Terrie (Jerry) Van Zant, Sandy (David) Kytta, Sherri (Keith) Alm and Amy Thompson.
Bonnie and Bill were married on February 20, 1995. She was an active member of 1st Church of Christ Christian. She was a former Cub Scout Leader. Bonnie enjoyed playing computer games and going to the YMCA. Her greatest joy was the time she was able to be with her family and cooking meals for them, especially at the holidays.
Visitation for Bonnie will be on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm at Halbritter Wickens Funeral Home 615 E. Main St., Niles. A Funeral will be held on Friday, April 6 at 11 am at 1st Church of Christ Christian, 2240 Yankee St., Niles with Pastor Gordie Fox presiding. Burial will follow in Mission Hills Cemetery.
