Biography

Blaine Lee Annable, age 61 years of Elkhart, formerly of Niles died on Monday, February 9, 2015 at his home following a brief illness.

He was born on May 22, 1953 in South Bend to Benjamin and Marquita (Hendricks) Annable, and attended South Bend Community Schools. He lived for many years in Niles, and was employed at the former Bouris Restaurant, Dean’s Home Plate, and the Country Kitchen. He bowled on area leagues, enjoyed attending auto racing – especially at the New Paris (Indiana) Speedway, and enjoyed singing; but his greatest joy was his family.

On January 3, 1972 he married Virginia Harrell who preceded him in death on August 7, 2011. On June 24, 2012 he married the former Vickie Lynn (Garman) Jackson, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Terry Lee (& Juanita Hernandez) Harrell of Niles and a daughter, Suzanne (& Michael) Shine of South Bend; six step-children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren including Gabriel Shine, Leland Shine, Selena Harrell, and Terry Harrell III; and Blaine’s brothers, Dwight (& Ann) Annable of South Bend and Bob West of New Carlisle; sister, Sandy McClurken of South Bend; and several nieces and nephews.

The family of Blane Annable is gathering privately for services on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with the Rev. Richard Schram of Niles officiating.
