Blair Kevin Mather, age 54 of Niles, Michigan died at 6:52 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles, unexpectedly, but of natural causes. His family is using the Gift of Life Michigan to offer healing and life to others.
He was born on November 4, 1960 in Niles to Jake J. and Jean (Moneysmith) Mather. He was graduated from Niles High School, and has lived in Niles all of his life.
Kevin enjoyed visiting the Niles District Library, using many of its services, and was a patron of its used book sales. He also enjoyed movies, especially suspense thrillers, and maintained a collection of records, with a special interest in the 45 rpm 7 inch single version.
On October 7, 1994 in Niles he married the former Lori Marie Williams with whom he celebrated last month the twentieth anniversary of their marriage.
Surviving family includes his wife, Lori Mather and their daughter, Saralyn Hawes of Gobles, Michigan; and Kevins brothers and sisters, Jeannette Frazier of Niles, Phillip (& Rose) Mather of Dorr, Michigan, Charlie (& Angie) Mather of Niles, Jennifer Goldsburg of Vandalia, Michigan and her twin, Jeffrey (& Robin) Mather of Niles, and Penny (& Jared) Baker of Niles; and many nieces and nephews.
The family of Kevin Mather will gather privately for services at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with the Rev. Brenda Gordon of Pokagon United Methodist Church officiating. Committal will be at Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles.
