Anthony “Tony” “Rizzo” Korolis, 44, of Niles, died tragically January 20, 2025. His life began April 2, 1980 in Chicago, Illinois, born to Gus and Roxanne Korolis. He married Shannon Bowers, July 4, 2009 in Niles, Michigan. She survives.
Tony-Rizzo was a big fan of Notre Dame, Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, playing corn hole and horse shoes. He especially enjoyed watching his kids play sports and ride their four wheelers and dirt bikes. Tony was the life of the party. He would always show up with Budweiser and apple pies. Tony left a lasting impression on anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. He was always cracking jokes and was the best story teller in town. Tony was the grill master and could often be found at the Barbeque, cooking out. He was helpful and talented and would help anyone. A man who would give you the shirt off his back.
Tony-Rizzo will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife Shannon Korolis of Niles, two sons, Anthony (Lauren Tabbert) Korolis of Niles, Bryce Korolis of Niles; one granddaughter expected May 2, 2025, Willow Mae Korolis; two sisters, Jenny (Jeff) Burgmeier of Wisconsin, Nikki (Jack) Sutton of Chicago, Illinois; two brothers, Brian (Joy) Duda of Arizona, Jarod (Lynn) Duda of Arizona; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Roxanne Korolis and his father-in-law, Michael E. Bowers.
Family and friends will gather on a date and at a time to be announced.
